Compass-ion Community:

Learning, Growing, and Creating Impact Together

The world is an interconnected system — fragmentation is an illusion. Embracing systemic insights opens paths to positive change, but how do we bring this wisdom into practice?

The answer lies in connection. The Compass-ion Community is a living network for those who want to learn, grow, and make meaningful impact. It’s a space where personal growth aligns with collective action.

We embrace not-knowing and action research, recognizing that change is a shared journey. Through reflection, dialogue, and practical action, we explore new ways forward, experimenting with embodied wisdom, constellations, bodywork, meditation, art, creativity, and intuition to bring systemic insights to life.

Next Events:

Authentic leadership as a search for yourself – your next step as a human being and as a leader

Open online session
5 February 19:00 – 20:30

Authentic leadership is not about finding one fixed, true version of yourself. It is about discovering an inner point of orientation from which you can be clear and present in contact with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.

The next step is not found by working harder or trying to fix something, but by listening differently: to yourself, and to the other.

On 5 february I will host an open online session in which we explore what your next step in authentic leadership might be.
We work with small reflections and another way of listening that brings you closer to your inner compass.

Authentic leadership and education

Open online session
11 February 15:30 – 17:00

For my farewell at Inholland three podcasts were recorded. One of these focused on authentic leadership and education. From Compass-ion we now organize a live online session around this theme to deepen and exchange further.

During this session we look at the importance of personal development in education. We show examples and focus specifically on the Partnership Radar, a dialogue instrument that supports meaningful conversation between student and teacher.

Guest speaker for this session is Senka Rebac, researcher at Inholland and member of the Compass-ion community.

“The quality of our life is determined by the quality of our questions and conversations.” – David Whyte

Authentic leadership and technology

Open online session
2 April 15:30 – 17:00

The second online session focuses on the role of authentic leadership and technology. We discuss the challenges that social media and AI bring, for young people and for ourselves. After a short introduction we explore from different perspectives how we can deal with this in daily life and in our professional roles. What do we need as teacher, parent, or employer to stay healthy and conscious in this digital era? What does it mean to be human in this context and how do we relate to these developments from a reflective perspective?

Inner Development Goals and societal questions

Open online session
5 June 15:30 – 17:00

The third session is organized around the Inner Development Goals. We show how the IDGs can contribute to major societal challenges such as poverty reduction, the housing crisis and climate warming. We explore what it means to start with yourself, and how inner development creates the conditions for sustainable collective change.

“Systems won’t change unless the people within them change.” – Otto Scharmer

Communicating with Respect – listening beyond interpretation and assumptions

Open online session
2 September 15:30 – 17:00

Communicating with Respect is not about learning a new technique, but about being present with attention in conversation with the other. Not to convince, but to understand. Not to draw quick conclusions, but to reveal what lies behind words.

In many professional contexts a large part of the pressure and tension is not about the content itself, but about how people interpret each other, read each other, and make meaning. In this session we explore how conversations can become more open, clear and calm when we listen less from assumptions and more from contact.

We work with small reflections, short cases, and a way of listening that creates space for what is actually present in the interaction – between teacher and student, care professional and patient, parent and child, and between colleagues.

Why Build a Community?

Systemic work shows us how everything is connected, yet we often miss underlying dynamics. Barry Oshry warns of system blindness, which leads to ineffective patterns and repeated failures.

Our challenge? To make systemic wisdom practical in everyday life — personally and professionally. That’s why the Compass-ion Community exists:

Apply systemic insights to real-world challenges.
Inspire conscious, creative action.
Support growth through shared learning.
Share tools and experiences that create impact.

We believe collective learning happens when we embrace uncertainty and explore together. Not-knowing becomes a source of discovery through experimentation, embodied practices, and creative approaches.

Why Compass-ion?

We live in uncertain times. For instance, polarization, climate change, and health crises demand new ways of thinking and acting. Real change starts with people who develop themselves and support each other in this process.

At Compass-ion, we explore the next steps in systemic work — rooted in family and organizational constellations and continuously evolving with new insights and practical applications.

We value curiositycreativity, and courage to step into the unknown. Through embodied practicesintuitive approaches, and action research, we learn by doing — co-creating solutions for complex challenges.

Compassion is the binding force that reminds us of our shared humanity — our longing for freedom, connection, and growth.
